Driven by Science, Focused on You
Our Story and Professional Commitment
JLF Aesthetics was founded from a passion for science and helping people feel confident in themselves. With a degree in Biochemistry, I have a deep understanding of skin physiology, ageing processes and the science behind aesthetic treatments.
JLF Aesthetics is committed to delivering safe, and medically informed treatments to create natural, balanced results with realistic and honest expectations. I believe aesthetics should enhance the natural beauty of each individual, not altar.

What is a Biochemistry Degree?
And what does it mean for aesthetics?
My degree in Biochemistry provides me with a strong understanding of the science behind how the body functions and interacts at a cellular and molecular level. This allows me to understand the science behind aesthetic treatments, how the product interacts with the body, and how the body responds to the different procedures I offer.
By combining scientific knowledge with advanced aesthetics training, I am committed to providing safe, evidence-based treatments while prioritising patient safety, education, and natural-looking results.
Throughout my degree I studied a wide range of scientific subjects, which includes but not limited to:
- Human anatomy and physiology
- Cell biology
- Biochemistry and metabolism
- Molecular biology
- Genetics
- Immunology
- Microbiology
- Pharmacology
- Chemistry (Analytical, Organic and Inorganic)
- Protein structure and function
- Enzymes and biochemical pathways
- Laboratory techniques and scientific research, such as, centrifugation, NMR, GC, LC, MALDI-TOF, ELISA, PCR
- Data analysis and evidence-based practice.
This scientific background helps me understand the biological processes involved in skin health, ageing, wound healing, and the safe use of aesthetics treatments.
I also have experience of working within multiple laboratory environments and diagnostics.
